| Five-lined Skink | ||||||||||
Image Details Point Pelee National Park is home to some of Canada's rarest wildlife. I have often seen glimpses of skinks, but this is the first time I've ever been able to get an image of one. The Five-lined Skink is Ontario's only lizard and is rare enough to be listed as "special concern" in Ontario by COSEWIC.

Elly McKellar Did not know we had lizards in Ontario. An excellent image showing the whole animal.

Mohamed Sabet I have visited Point Pelee many time, I did not see any such creatures - not that I was looking for them. But as a rare find this is a wounderful image of the skink.

Gordon Schmidt Never heard of it but then there are a lot of nature that we are not familiar with. This one is a great capture and very descriptive of the specie. Good to even spot one in the park. I like the natural tones and the clarity with the natural setting.
