| Question Mark Butterfly | ||||||||||
Image Details To date, I have recorded 18 species of butterflies and moths in the front yard butterfly garden. This butterfly was one of the latest additions and photographed it with the wings closed showing the silver question mark on the hind wing. Numerous people come to view the garden so I have made posters showing the variety of species as well as the plants have identification tags. Shortly the monarchs will be arriving enmass to feed on the Liatris Ligulistylis (meadow blazing star)

Suzie Ambrose Great shot of butterfly, colour and focus. (however, this b/fly has wings open, not shut – wrong photo?)

Tony DeGroot Impressive portrait of the Question Mark. Your garden must bring you an enormous amount of joy.

Elly McKellar The lower part of the wings seems to be quite dark, probably the cast shadow of the flower. Funny name for a butterfly. Your butterfly garden was really a good idea and probably paid off with many beautiful butterfly shots.

Mohamed Sabet Sharp and nicely angled. I would clone out the white petals at the top left.

Gordon Schmidt Good thing you're not close to me Thelma. I could never pass up a garden that seems to have such a great draw. I think you have a winner here. The butterfly is perfect in exposure, sharpness and attitude. The flower may be slightly hot and I do not mind the intrusion of the other flower.
