Image Details I first tried an infra red effect on it, but was not satisfied with the result. Then tried on a new copy the high pass filter; eventually I dragged the infra red version into this image and set mode to Overlay.

Joh. Friedrich This effect works very well. A drawn effect without any loss of photorealism. I have a compositional nit-pick. The boat being directly in the centre, directly under the face of the barn makes it a bit static. I know, I know, it wasn't your boat to move. Try cropping off a bit on the right, squaring the image.

Jiri Polak You got interesting colours and textures there. I would suggest that you crop it more tightly as there is too much going on in there. I prefer a simpler picture, but that may by me.

Mohamed Sabet Clear saturated colours. The addition of the High Pass layer adds to the sharpness of the image.

Gordon Schmidt I just finished a small video on doing a PS infra red manipulation in colour and this is a good example of what they were trying to do. I failed at my attempt but I think my image was not right to work with. I like the fact that you chose an image with red for the impact. Nice defining lines for the cribbing and all the items on the dock. I like the overall and thanks for some tips to try later.
